The 6” x 54 cigar feels substantial and is oily and quite dark, but take care when storing it in your humidor as the wrapper is somewhat thin. You might think you’re in for a sweet treat when you take in the aroma of dark cocoa and a taste of chocolate milk in the prelight draw, but the surprising and mouth-drying peppery blast when the chisel is first lit will tell a different story. This will fade to reveal a base of cinnamon and leather, which settles in as the solid, bright white ash grows slow and straight. The middle of the cigar is awash with nutmeg and earth, a progression of flavor that seems natural on reflection but is amazing when experienced. The final third takes these characters and morphs them into a definitive spiciness in the retrohale and a malty goodness on the tongue.
